Yes! Breakfast through February and March will be continental until we get our new kitchen up and running.

Check in is at 3:00pm. Check out is at 11:00am.

Absolutely. During winter months, our location offers excellent Aurora Borealis viewing, right from the lodge grounds or your private room balcony.

Yes, we offer free on-site parking for all guests. In the winter months we do have plug ins for rental cars

We love animals, but at this time, we only allow service animals to ensure the comfort of all guests.

We’re located about 15 minutes from downtown Fairbanks—close enough for convenience, yet far enough to experience Alaska’s quiet beauty.

Each season offers something unique—winter brings the magic of the Northern Lights, while summer offers endless daylight and lush green scenery. The Orion is designed for year-round enjoyment.

Normally, we get our first snow that “sticks” in October. Sled dog tours typically begin in November, depending on snowfall and trail condition.

As of now we do not, but will for the fall 2026 winter. In the meantime we recommend Alaska Outdoor Gear Rental.

Yes we do. We have reliable Starlink Internet along with full cellular and data service.

We highly recommend and AWD or 4WD vehicle during winter (October 1st to May 1st). Most national brand rental companies with have AWD if you rent a crossover style vehicle. We also recommend Alaska Auto Rental and Alaska 4×4. Having an AWD or 4WD vehicle will make your trip exponentially easier and safer.

Yes and yes! No need to book Aurora viewing tours. We have a comfortable Aurora Lounge for our guests to utilize and all rooms have an Aurora notification Alarm. We recommend booking an Aurora tour if you are looking for and experience while trying to view the Northern Lights. Examples include: An Arctic Circle Tour, Ice Fishing, Photography Tours Etc….
